BIDDER REGISTRATION All buyers are required to have a bidder number. You may register for a bidder number at no charge during viewing or during the auction.
CATALOGUE A catalogue is available for a nominal charge at most auctions. Conditions of Auction are listed in the catalogue. You may also view the catalogue on the website through Upcoming Auctions.
BIDDING BY TELEPHONE Under special circumstances, Bunte Auction Services can arrange for you to bid by telephone. To arrange for a telephone bid please contact our office by 3:00 p.m. the Friday prior to auction. Telephone bids are executed under the general Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to accept or deny any and all telephone bid requests, which are given at the buyer's risk and for which we will not be held responsible in case of error or failure to bid.
ABSENTEE BIDS Those unable to attend the auction or who must leave before the conclusion may submit an absentee bid on a form available from the office. The bids will be executed in competition with the bids on the floor. All bids will be subject to the Terms and Conditions and Information. We offer this service in an effort to assist our clients and will not be held responsible for error or failure to execute bids. We also recommend that you contact us after you have submitted your bids (if via fax or email) to confirm that we have received them.

BUYER'S PREMIUM A premium of twenty percent (20%) of the hammer price if purchased in house or through HiBid or twenty-five percent (25%) if purchased through LiveAuctioneers will be added to each purchase to reach the total sales price payable. Buyers are required to pay sales tax if applicable on the total sales price, including buyer's premium.
PAYMENT All purchases must be paid for on the day of auction unless other arrangements have been agreed upon. All buyers are required to pay for and remove their purchases within five calendar days following the auction. Payment can be made by cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or approved check. Buyers with checks that need to be deposited a second time to clear will be charged $10. Buyers with checks that are deposited a second time and still do not clear will be charged $50. Illinois Retailers' Occupation Tax of 8.25% will be charged on all purchases not marked with an asterisk unless a current certificate of resale is on file with our office. Tax numbers must be registered at the time a bidding number is issued. RECEIPT OF $10,000.00 OR MORE: The Federal government requires all businesses to report any money collected over $10,000.00 per transaction in the form of cash, money order, cashier’s check, traveler’s check, or bank check. An 8300 form must be filled out by Bunte Auction and sent to the Internal Revenue Service. We will need your personal information as follows: name, address, date of birth, driver’s license number, and social security number or Federal ID number.
AUTOMOBILES Payment can be made by cash, cashier's check or certified check. Credit cards will not be accepted as payment. Sales tax, if applicable, is collected by the Illinois Secretary of State. A deposit of 25% of the hammer price will be required on the day of the sale.
REMOVAL OF PROPERTY Purchases may be removed once satisfactory payment is made. All purchases must be removed within five (5) calendar days unless special arrangements have been made. Bunte's reserves the right to charge storage fees and will adhere to the Conditions of Auction. Purchases not removed within thirty (30) days will be sold without further notice and the money realized after expenses will then be credited to the buyer’s account.
