BIDDER REGISTRATION All buyers are required to have a bidder number. You may register for a bid number during viewing or during the auction. There is no charge for a bid number.

CATALOGUE A catalogue is available for a nominal charge for most auctions. Conditions of Auction are listed in the catalogue.

BIDDING BY TELEPHONE Under special circumstances, Bunte's can arrange for you to bid by telephone. To arrange for a telephone bid please contact our office by Friday 3:00 p.m. prior to auction. Telephone bids are executed under the Terms and Conditions and Information for Buyers and Sellers. We reserve the right to accept or deny any and all telephone bid requests, which are given at the buyers' risk and for which we will not be held responsible in case of error or failure to bid.

ABSENTEE BIDS For those unable to attend the auction or who must leave before the conclusion may submit an absentee bid on a form available from the office. The bids will be executed in competition with the bids on the floor. All bids will be subject to the Terms and Conditions and Information for Buyers and Sellers listed in this catalogue. The bids must be in writing, complete with a signature, and accompanied by a twenty-five (25%) deposit. We offer this service in an effort to assist our clients and will not be held responsible for error or failure to execute bids.  We also recommend that you contact us after you have submitted your bids to confirm that we have received them.

BUYER'S PREMIUM A premium of twenty (20%) of the hammer price or twenty two and a half percent (22.5% if purchased on internet live auctions) will be added to each purchase to reach the total sales price payable. Buyers are required to pay sales tax on the total sales price, including buyer's premium.

PAYMENT All purchases must be paid for on the day of auction unless other arrangements have been agreed upon. All buyers are required to pay for and remove their purchases within five calendar days following the auction. Payment can be made by cash, Visa, Master Card, Discover or approved check. Illinois retailers Occupation Tax of  7 3/4% will be charged on all purchases not marked with an asterisk unless a current certificate of resale is on file with our office.
Tax numbers must be registered at the time a bidding number is issued.

AUTOMOBILES Payment can be made by cash, cashiers check or certified check. Credit cards will not be accepted as payment. Sales tax if applicable is collected by Illinois Secretary of State. A deposit of 25% of the hammer price will be required on the day of the sale.

REMOVAL OF PROPERTY Purchases may be removed once satisfactory payment is made. All purchases must be removed within five (5) days unless special arrangements have been made. Bunte's reserves the right to charge storage fees and will adhere to the Conditions of Auction. We do not provide shipping, although we can provide you with names of shipping companies.

CONSIGNMENTS Consignments are accepted for future auctions. For auction schedule deadlines and appointments with Department Specialist, please contact our office. Transportation is available with charges on an hourly basis.

FREE VERBAL EVALUATION Our staff will provide a free verbal estimate on goods brought to the gallery. Photographs which will clearly depict the items may be submitted by mail or in person. Please include all descriptive information such as dimensions, condition, signatures, provenance and other relevant data. Appointments with the Department Specialist can be arranged by calling (847) 214-8423. Bunte's experts will visit your location to view estates or large collections and offer advice on liquidation.
